By using digital geologic maps and photos of locations commonly visited by boaters, geologist and boater Steve Wyckoff will give an overview of the rock types, geologic forces and geologic history of the area in an easy to understand format. Steve Wyckoff is the past Commodore of the Traverse City Yacht Club at the very heart of Grand Traverse Bay. Steve and his wife Deborah have sailed throughout Northern Lake Michigan, the North Channel, the Caribbean and the Pacific Northwest.
