Lake Superior is a cruiser’s dream. A successful trip to the Big Lake begins with building a solid knowledge base.  This GLCCSchool webinar package will help you do just that.

Cruising Lake Superior’ Apostle Islands --- The Apostles cover over 720 square-mile and are the yachting center of Lake Superior. This beautiful section of the Great Lakes boasts several wonderful, quaint harbor towns, but more importantly the 22 islands that make up the Apostles offer spectacular anchorages, sandy beaches, historic lighthouses, pristine forests and sandstone caves. Join Niels Jensen as he takes you exploring the pristine waters that make up the Apostle Islands.

Niels Jensen is a veteran cruiser, a frequent GLCCSchool presenter and an active member of the GLCC.  Niels is currently our GLCC Treasurer and is a past GLCC Commodore. Niels and his wife Vicki keep their boat Freelance on Lake Superior in Bayfield, Wisconsin.

Dave Carr has been sailing in Northen Ontario since he was 13 and cruising since his thirties. Dave and his wife, Carla live near Midland, Ontario where they keep their boat, Quo Vadis V.  Since 1990, Dave and Carla have cruised Lakes Huron, Erie and Superior, and have gained considerable knowledge of Georgian Bay, the North Channel and Lake Superior.
