Port Captain Introductions: Aaron Puntriano

Welcome Erie (E-4) Port Captain Aaron Puntriano

From Aaron Puntriano:

I’m a single male in my late 20s. I’ve been sailing Lake Erie for six years from Erie, Pennsylvania.  I enjoy a 33-foot racer, StarLite, as a member of the Erie Yacht Club.  

I’m originally from the St. Louis area. I learned dinghy sailing in Wisconsin. I later moved to Erie, crewed for others, acquired a 26-foot Hunter, and learned from rookie mistakes.

I’ve been sailing Lake Erie for six years from Erie. It started with single-handing my prior 26-foot pocket cruiser to neighboring ports. Then, I began to scratch my racing itch. In the winters, my cruising occasionally extends south. The latest trip was the Bahamas on a 44-foot catamaran.

It was an easy decision to offer my help after seeing an older Erie Harbor Report. I consider myself an ordinary cook, but I just watched the GLCCSchool cooking webinar and look forward to eating better dishes.
