Here’s what you need to know about 2025 Rendezvous
Start planning now to attend the 2025 Annual Rendezvous in Little Current, Ont. Debby and Jib Turner are pleased to chair this year’s Rendezvous. It is a homecoming of sorts, marking the 60th anniversary of GLCC’s first modern Rendezvous also held in Little Current.
Here are the details for the 2025 Rendezvous:
DATES: Sunday, July 13 to Thursday, July 17.
REGISTRATION: The registration form has all the information needed for GLCC sign-up and hotel options along with activities schedule. The Rendezvous chairs are coordinating several interesting speakers and activities. Click here to register.
DOCKAGE: Slips at the Port of Little Current are going fast. Make your reservations today: credit card deposits are not required. Email your request (along with “true” LOA, beam, draft and boat type) to: rtaylor@townofnemi.on.ca
OTHER INFO: The chairpeople have arranged for daily morning complimentary trash and recycling pickup at your boat.
Come early or stay late. There are so many things to see and do -- horseback riding, hiking and walking trails, museum tour, charter fishing, to name just a few.
PRE-RENDEZVOUS WILDERNESS RALLY No. 1: Current plans are for a Pre-Rendezvous Wilderness Rally at Harbor Island (NC-2), with Port Captains Bill and Sandi Matley organizing. Current plans are for this to start June 30 for two days. Wilderness Rally No. 1 is an opportunity for U.S. members coming across the top of Lake Huron from Michigan to the Rendezvous to get together before the annual Rendezvous. More information to follow shortly.
POST-RENDEZVOUS WILDERNESS RALLY No. 2: Afterward: A Post-Rendezvous Wilderness Rally No. 2 will be at Amedroz Island (NC-20). Amedroz Island is located 13 nautical miles northwest of Little Current, just east of Clapperton Island. Rear Commodore Dave Spencer is coordinating. It begins Friday evening, July 18, with a shoreside potluck happy hour and a potluck dinner on Saturday night, July 19. Look for more details to extend your time and GLCC friendships at the North Channel.
