UW-Milwaukee-Freshwater Sciences Gets Major Grant for New Research Vessel

The School fo Freshwater Sciences (SFS) at the University of Wisconisn—Milwaukee has received a $10M grant towards the construction of a new 120-foot research vessel. It will replace the School's current 71-foot ship, which was built in 1953. The SFS is the only graduate school of freshwater science in the U.S., and has been a recipient of several grants for the Great Lakes Foundation.
