Port Captain Introductions: Steven T. Freitas

Let's welcome newly appointed Port Captain Stephen T. Freitas for Grosse Pointe, Mich. (D-50)! Steve has been a competitive sailor for over 35 years, and a cruising power boater for 24 years. He is a past member of the US Sailing Board of Directors, past member of the US Sailing Olympic Sailing Committee, member Bayview Yacht Club, and Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. Steve is a past Commodore of Grosse Pointe Club and is currently Treasurer of Gregory’s River Club. He spends several weeks each summer in the Straits of Mackinac and the North Channel. Steve is well connected in the Detroit area yachting community. He is a business owner and former senior auto executive. Steve’s boating experience ranges from long distance ocean races to wilderness anchorages. He is always looking for another adventure. Please look him up when you're in the area!!
