Port Captain Introductions: Lou Bruska

     Lou Bruska, our newly appointed Port Captain for Holland Harbor & Lake Macatawa, Mich. (West) (M-24), has been a sailor for forty years. He and his wife, Laurel, bought their first boat in 1978, and started racing. After 15 Chicago-Mac races and countless buoy races, Lou now devotes his time to cruising. He has been a member of the Great Lakes Cruising Club since 2003, Chairman of the Log Book & Port Pilot Committee (Log Book Editor) 2012–18 and is currently an instructor with the GLCCSchool. In 2019, he received a GLCC Award of Merit. The couple have participated in numerous GLCC activities and events. Their current boat Sojourn is a Catalina 36 MKI TR, berthed at the Eldean Shipyard Marina in Macatawa, Mich. Drop Lou a line as you cruise by!!
