Port Captain Introductions: John Siwicki

John P. Siwicki, Lexington, Mich. (H-54)

     John P. Siwicki is the new Port Captain for Lexington, Mich. (H-54), and Deputy Port Captain for Port Sanilac, Mich. (H-55). His hometown and berth site is Port Sanilac. He joined the GLCC in 2023.

     He owns a 1988 Catalina 30 MK II that he doesn’t use nearly as often as he’d like. As a Certified Professional Yacht Broker, his busy season is the boating season. He has completed the U.S. Power Squadron boating course.

     When he does get out, he usually stays fairly close to home – Lexington, Port Sanilac and Harbor Beach (H-56), along the east side of Michigan’s Thumb in Lake Huron. But not always.

     John said, “For the past decade I have been the yacht broker at Port Sanilac Marina. For four decades prior to that, we had a cottage in, and boated out of, Lexington Harbor. We have also chartered several times in the British Virgin Islands and the Grenadines.”
